Peter Crow makes large abstract paintings of bright colors, swirling movement, and descending and ascending forms that traverse the surface, playing with depth and shallow space, texture and smoothness, ambiguity and representation.

Classically trained, Crow carries on a conversation with contemporary art and artists that spans the past, the recent past, and the now.

Drawing is an important medium for Crow, and he draws inspiration from artists for whom drawing was a central and all important means of expression. Crow has never lost his love of paper and collage, works in this media compise an important part of his output.
